If you’re a classic car enthusiast you will be excited to know that a piece of motoring history has been found and is in desperate need of restoration. Unbelievably, the piece of “scrap metal was once part of a car from the 1900s and is set to sell at auction for £26,000″, according to the Daily Mail website.
The metal carcase has been the property of a family living in Kent since at least 1921 and was found rusting away in their garage. After careful examination of the chassis it has been revealed that the car in question, or what’s left of it, is a De Dion Bouton Vis-a-Vis from the 1900s.

Britain might not be known for its good weather or appetizing delicacies, but we Brits do have a taste for the perfect car. Its official, according to the Telegraph website, that the “ultimate dream car for Britons is not a super-fast Italian exotic but a classic British Aston Martin”.

Classic car enthusiasts are more than happy to spend their hard earned cash on vintage motors, but when you splash out £425,000 you don’t expect to be told it’s a fake. A Leicestershire woman was horrified to find out that the 1930’s Bentley Speed Six classic car she bought was no longer capable of being described as a 1930’s Bentley at all”, having been so heavily modified.
